Wall Ruru - One Size

The ruru, or morepork, is the night voice of Aotearoa’s forests—a small owl whose presence is felt long before it is seen. As daylight fades, it begins its watch, moving through shadowed trees with silent precision, a keeper of the dusk and the deep night.

Its call is unmistakable: a soft, mournful “rūrū” or “more-pork,” echoing through valleys, bush, and quiet settlements. It is a sound that seems to belong to stillness itself, threading through the air like a reminder that the world continues beyond what the eye can easily hold.

With large, intelligent eyes adapted for low light and feathers that allow near-silent flight, the ruru is perfectly shaped for its nocturnal realm. It hunts insects and small creatures with patience and focus, embodying a balance of alertness and calm.
