Round Leaf Vase - One Size

This form was created by fully exploiting the sculptural possibilities of plastic clay. A large solid mass of clay was boldly sliced and carved using wire hoops, allowing sweeping cuts and sharp planes to emerge with speed and spontaneity. The making process is energetic and instinctive, where each movement reveals a new contour and balance of form.

From this original hand-shaped solid, a mould was then carefully produced, enabling the creation of the Round Leaf Vase. The finished piece retains the vitality of the first spontaneous cuts, capturing both strength and elegance in its dramatic lines. It stands as a vessel shaped not only by technique, but by the immediacy and expressive nature of the clay itself.
